Ready West Point
Are You Ready?1: Get a kit of emergency supplies
2: Make a plan for what you will do in an Emergency
3: Be informed about what might happen
4: Get involved in preparing your family and your workplace
West Point officials are committed to providing an environment that is accessible and at the same time, safe and secure. However, emergency preparedness is a shared responsibility and it cannot be achieved and sustained effectively by a few people or by a few agencies. You are your own best "first responder."
This Emergency Management website, maintained jointly by USAG West Point Public Affairs and the West Point Emergency Manager, provides information on how to prepare for emergencies, what to do in the case of an emergency, how to stay informed, emergency contacts, emergency-related policies and more.
Being prepared will ease anxiety, promote self-reliance, and serve you and others should an emergency occur. Being prepared is the best form of self-protection.
