Staff Agencies

The 49th Wing staff agencies provide specific expertise to the senior leadership and base population. Staff agencies include the Inspector General, Staff Judge Advocate, Public Affairs, Command Post, Chapel, Wing Plans and Inspections, Safety, Military Equal Opportunity, Equal Opportunity, History and Comptrollers. 

49th Operations Group

Members of the 7th Fighter Squadron participated in the first 49th Wing air engagement, downing five enemy aircraft March 14, 1942. 

49th Maintenance Group

The 49th Maintenance Group generates and sustains aircraft in a safe, compliant, and disciplined manner to produce combat-ready aircrews and successfully execute HHQ taskings.
