Demonstrating its friendship with the Romanian people and interest in the security and stability of the Black Sea region, the United States’ sent one of its biggest and most capable rocks, the USS Monterey, commanded by Captain Jim Kilby, to make port in Constanta, Romania June 6–9.

ODESSA, Ukraine – Sailors aboard USS Taylor (FFG 50) took time during exercise Sea Breeze 2010 to deliver Project Handclasp supplies to the Lastochka Orphanage in Odessa, July 16.
SHKOZET, Albania -- The USS Taylor (FFG-50) and the United States European Command, through the U.S. Embassy’s Office of Defense Cooperation, donated medical and hygiene supplies to the Health Center in Shkozet, district of Durres, on June 17.
VLORA, Albania — The USS John L. Hall (FFG 32), and the United States European Command, through the U.S. Embassy’s Office of Defense Cooperation, donated hygiene supplies to the Special Needs Children School and orphanage here, March 23.
On Oct. 22, I had the most rewarding day since being assigned as the Bilateral Affairs Officer to the U.S. Embassy, Vilnius, Lithuania. That day, I was in charge of organizing the delivery of hygiene and medical material donated as part of Project Handclasp, the Navy’s space available program for shipping humanitarian donations.
