Receiving an unrequested password reset notice

I am getting notification that I requested to have my password reset when I did not make the request.

There are multiple accounts that have similar usernames.  Another AKO user whose username is similar to yours (one number or letter off from your own) most likely mistakenly used your username instead of theirs when using the ‘Reset Password’ link.

Unfortunately, with the number of users with similar usernames, the Army Enterprise Service Desk is unable to locate which user is launching the request in error.

As long as they do not have access to your secondary email address, know your lost password questions, or know your current password, you do not have to worry about them accessing your AKO account.

If you are worried that someone is accessing your account, log into your AKO account and reset your password, your lost password questions, and ensure you are the only person who can access your secondary email address.

Delete and disregard all reset password requests that you have not initiated.
