SPANGDAHLEM AIR BASE, Germany – U.S. Navy Adm. Jim Stavridis, U.S. European Command commander and NATO Supreme Allied Commander Europe, visited with Airmen in Hangar 1 here Dec. 14 as part of a familiarization tour. Base leadership selected these Airmen to meet Stavridis from throughout the wing due to their superior performance. During the visit, Stavridis saw the unique capabilities the 52nd Fighter Wing provides to the European theater of operations and learned about some of the wing’s accomplishments this year.
