The spirit of giving is not limited to late December. Members of the Katterbach and Illesheim dental clinics visited the Kinder-Jugend-Familienhilfe Ansbach Kastanienhof, a home for children of troubled families, Jan. 31 to donate toys collected during the holiday season.

U.S. and Ukrainian officials last week celebrated the completion of two of eight humanitarian aid projects in the Ukraine where a bilateral partnership between U.S. European Command and the government there is improving the lives of Ukrainian citizens.
This week, more than 150 Moldovan children from orphanages in Straseni and Laloveni and from the School for Hearing Impaired Children were treated by a team of American military dentists from the North Carolina National Guard. After their check-ups, each child received a tube of toothpaste and a new toothbrush. United States European Command provided funds for all necessary equipment and supplies.
