ROTA, Spain — A Maritime Interdiction Operations (MIO) team from Morocco, along with U.S. Marines from Fleet Anti-terrorism Security Team Company, Europe (FASTEUR) and Spanish marines conducted Helicopter Rope Suspension Training (HRST) from a Spanish navy helicopter in preparation for excercise Phoenix Express 2010 at Naval Station Rota, Spain April 27.
USNS LCPL ROY M. WHEAT, at sea - Exercise Phoenix Express (PE09) continued in the Mediterranean this week aboard USNS Lance Cpl. Roy M. Wheat with sailors from Algeria, Turkey, Portugal and the United States and Marines from Italy using the ship for visit, board, search and seizure (VBSS) exercises.
