Applying for Housing

All incoming Military and Civilian personnel, both accompanied and unaccompanied, are required to check-in with the Navy Housing Office within 3 business days of arriving in Singapore.  The Navy Housing Office is located in PSA Sembawang Terminal Building 7-4 and its operating hours are Mon-Fri, 8:30a.m. - 4 p.m., excluding U.S. holidays.

The Housing and Lodging Office mailing address is:

Singapore Area Coordinator
PSC 470, Box 2100
FPO, AP 96534-2100.

You must complete and submit an Application for Housing ( DD-1746 ).  Your Housing eligibility date will be provided on the date of check-in.  Based on your eligibility, dependent status for accompanied personnel, and the availability of Unaccompanied and Family Housing, you will be assigned in order of eligibility date.  Please bring a copy of your orders (for all personnel), detaching endorsement (for military), dependent entry approval or Command sponsorship letter (for all accompanied personnel), transportation agreement (for civilians), SF-50 (for civilians), and Letter of Equivalency (for NAF civilians).

Government Housing is predominately historic “Black and White” British Colonial facilities supplemented with brick “Japanese” units.  These facilities are comprised of bungalows, duplexes, and apartment-style flats.  Although roomy compared to most military housing, Unaccompanied and Family Housing are limited to two and three bedrooms.

Because of limited assets for larger families, assignments to three bedroom homes are based on a combination of family composition and rank.  For accompanied personnel, dependents count toward your housing eligibility if they are:

1). Documented by the above required paperwork
2). Reside with you at least 9 consecutive months out of the year
3). Must reside with you within 30 days of assignment to housing, unless a written request is submitted and a formal exception is granted.
