UH-60V

AMRDEC’s Prototype Integration Facility is assisting the Utility Helicopter Project Management Office in developing and qualifying a UH-60V digital cockpit upgrade kit. This kit will achieve a common Pilot Vehicle Interface (PVI) with the UH-60M aircraft, meet Global Air Traffic Management (FATM) requirements, and address obsolescence issues. The customer is the Utility Helicopter Project Management Office, Program Executive Office, Aviation, Redstone Arsenal, Alabama.

Teaming Effort

The PIF and its prime contractor Redstone Defense Systems (RDS) is teaming with industry to develop a digital avionics suite fo the UH-60L. Teaming arrangements have been developed between the PIF and System Simulation Development (SSDD), Software Engineering (SED), Corpus Christi Army Depot (CCAD), and the Army Research Laboratory (ARL).

PIF’s Role

Phase I: Support Utility Helicopter Project Office with development of the performance specification, test and evaluation master plan (TEMP), and statement of work.
Phase II: Create performance plan.
Phase III: Develop and qualify the UH-60V digital cockpit upgrade kit on 3 Engineering Development Model (EDM) aircraft and support 2 CCAD aircraft.
