The intent of the training was to arm strategic level managers with the necessary quality surveillance capability to evaluate Supply Support Activity (SSA) performance across FORSCOM. Managers can now periodically assess the performance of FORSCOM SSAs and coordinate with Theatre/Army Sustainment Command distribution Management Centers to ensure involvement and corrective action.

Students received instruction on the functional structure of GCSS-Army, requirements flow through the system, Navigation Techniques, Decision Support Tools, Root Cause analysis Techniques, and Performance Metrics.

FORSCOM had requested and received “View All” access prior to beginning of training. They were required to use the system throughout training growing progressively comfortable with its use. The training culminated in a all-inclusive Practical Exercise followed by a Comprehensive Examination both requiring system use.
