CW5 (R) William Pierce serves as a Chief of Installation (COI) for the GCSS-Army Materiel Fielding Team (MFT), a crucial position acting as the “point person” throughout the fielding process. COIs coordinate pre-conversion and post-implementation tasks between the forward customers and the rear GCSS-Army program office. After a successful Go-Live event with the Kentucky Army National Guard, COL Michael Sutton, USPFO, Kentucky National Guard presented Mr. Pierce with the Kentucky Colonel Award. The Governor of the Commonwealth of Kentucky commissions Kentucky Colonels, which is the highest honor the Governor bestows, awarded to individuals for exemplary contributions to their communities, states or nation and for special achievements.
