COL Darrell Butters, United States Property and Finance Officer (USPFO) for the Alabama National Guard signs a Letter of Acceptance (LOA) following the successful implementation of the GCSS-Army program throughout the Alabama Army National Guard. The appropriate officials sign the LOA when 100% of logistics and financial data migrates from legacy systems to GCSS-Army and the end user validates the successful migration. The LOA serves as an acknowledgement that GCSS-Army is now the system of record for logistics and tactical finance in the gaining unit. Later, in a separate ceremony, COL Butters presented a coin to the GCSS-Army Material Fielding Team and stated “Thank you for your hard work and exceptional support. I have spoken to my people and all of them agree that we are so much farther along than we thought we would be. I don’t give coins out very often so when I give one…..YOU EARNED IT.”
