Scope of Practice:
At
Bassett Army Community Hospital, the Nutrition Care Division (NCD) is
committed to improving the health, wellness and medical readiness of our
service members, beneficiaries and community through quality food
service, medical nutrition therapy, education, and health promotion.
Our dietitians and nutrition care specialists work directly with our
patients by providing nutrition assessments and therapeutic diet
education and are available for community speaking and education events,
such as health fairs and wellness programs.

booking an individual appointment, remember that no consult is required
for general nutrition, sports nutrition, vegetarian diets, cholesterol
education, weight management, and prenatal nutrition. A referral from
your primary care provider is preferred for all other diagnoses. Call
