Services Offered

Child Abuse / Neglect

  • IAW DoDM 6400.1, AR 608-18, Kentucky State Law, and the Kentucky/Ft. Knox MOA, all alleged or suspected child abuse/neglect is to be reported to DCBS (Child Protective Services).

Fit For Duty (FFD) and security clearance evaluations

  • Must be coordinated through Commander (or in the case of a Security Clearance Evaluation, should be done at the direction of the Central Adjudications Facility and coordinated through the unit Security Officer).  Screening is required before an appointment can be scheduled.

Groups Offered to Enhance Life

Parenting

  • This group includes education and group processing to fully explore eight parenting lessons.  The lessons are a versatile means of education families on the philosophy and skills of nurturing parenting – a person proven evidenced based parenting program.  This is an eight (8) week class that required enrollment assessment by the facilitator.  The group meets Tuesdays 1 p. m. to 3 p. m.  Call CAFBHS 502-626-6170 to arrange an assessment.

Women's Pain and Depression: 

  • This group is designed for women suffering with chronic pain.  Members of the group will learn coping skills for dealing with chronic pain and depressions and understanding resources available to manage pain.  The group is open to all female Soldiers and family members who are being seen in Behavioral Health.  The group meets Wednesday 1 p. m. to 3:30 p. m.  Call 502-626-6188 to arrange attendance.

Anger Management: 

  • This group focuses on events an cues, anger control plan, aggression cycle, assertiveness, conflict resolution and anger in the family.  The group is open to male and female active duty Soldiers only.  Meets Thursday 9 a. m. to 10:30 a. m.  Call 502-626-6188 to arrange attendance.

Men's Anger Management: 

  • Participants will learn to become responsible for their own power and thus achieve greater satisfaction in their lives without the need for violent or abusing behavior.  This is an eight (8) week course and meets Wednesdays from 12:30 p. m. to 2 p. m.  Call 502-626-6170 to arrange attendance.

Women's Group: 

  • The Women’s Group will focus on women’s issues such as boundaries, appropriate assertiveness, communication skills and self-care.  Group is for Active Duty Female Soldiers.  Meets Tuesdays 2:30 p. m. to 4 p. m.  Call 502-626-6188 to arrange attendance.

Guided Relaxation: 

  • End your week on the right note!  bThis is a guided relaxation and stress management group combined with mindfulness.  It is an open group and no referral is necessary.  It will assist you in learning relaxation and stress management skills.  Meets Friday 3 p. m. to 4 p. m.  Call 502-626-6188 to arrange attendance.

Warrior Wellness: 

  • Learn basic Yoga techniques, build strength and balance, gain flexibility, improve mindfulness and use relaxation techniques such as progressive muscle relaxation (PMR) and guided visualization.  This is an open group and all are welcome.  Meets Monday through Thursday 3 p. m. to 4 p. m.  Call 502-626-6188 to arrange attendance.

Effects of Marital Conflict on Children: 

  • This group targets couples with children who are experiencing extreme marital conflict.  Learn how this conflict affects the children in the home.  Available by appointment only.  Call 502-626-6170 for an appointment.

Batterer's Intervention: 

  • This class is to educate the patient about issues related to domestic assault with the goal of stopping the behavior.  Enrollment is by assessment only and an appointment can be made by calling 502-626-6170.

Scream Free Marriage: 

  • This is a nine (9) week course that will help you learn new techniques to reduce conflict and become less emotionally reactive in relationships. Enrollment is by assessment only and an appointment can be made by calling 502-626-6170.

EBH 101: 

  • An introductory class for all Soldiers receiving services with the Embedded Behavioral Health Team (EBHT).  The goals are to acquaint the Soldier with expectation of Soldiers and therapists, what EBHT can and cannot do for the Soldier.  Meets Wednesday from 9 a. m. to 10:30 a. m.  Call 502-626-6170 for an appointment.

Intensive Outpatient Group (IOP): 

  • More intensive than traditional outpatient therapy, IOP is designed to achieve short-term stabilization and resolution of immediate program areas.  Meets Monday-Friday 7:30 a. m. to 12:00 p. m. for a minimum of six (6) weeks.  Admission by referral only.  Call 502-626-6188 to arrange attendance.

IOP Step Down Group: 

  • The step down group was created in order to fill the gap after one had completed IOP but still needed group.  The idea of expanding this group is to fill the gap of those who may not need IOP but need something in addition to individual therapy and medication management. It is now open to all who have served --both active as well as retired.  It is for those who can benefit from healing within a community.  Our emphasis is on no judgment, just understanding.  We cover topics such as relationship issues, combat related issues as well as other trauma issues, coping skills related to depression and anxiety as well as what emerges from the group as a topic to be explored.  Patients are referred by a provider in DBH.  Group meets Mondays and Thursdays from 2:30 p. m. to 4 p. m.
