Upon arrival to Fort Wainwright , personnel assigned or attached to USA MEDDAC-AK will sign-in at the Military Personnel Division (MPD) located at the Welcome Center in building # 3401.

To get the Welcome Center, from the Main Gate:

Proceed down Gaffney Road for approximately 1/2 a mile
make a right onto 9th street
Follow 9th Street to the first stop sign.
At the stop sign make a left hand turn onto Neely Road.
Follow Neely Road until it hits a "T" intersection. Make a right on to Santiago Avenue.
Follow Santiago until you reach the Welcome Center.
It will be on the left-hand side of the road with a large parking lot across the street on the right.

Soldiers will conduct post in-processing in accordance with instructions from the MPD. The post in-processing process will take three and half days to complete.

Once post in-processing is completed the Soldier will report to Terri; Personnel Division, 2nd floor Bassett Army Community Hospital; to start unit in-processing.
Personnel will need the following items to in-process:

DA 31, orders,

medical and dental records and their 201 file, if it was brought from the last duty station.
