Mr. Larry Kilgore served in the US Army for 29 years and retired at the rank of Command Sergeant Major (E9) in 2003. Among his many accomplishments he had the Honor of becoming the first Command Sergeant Major of the reactivated 173rd Airborne Brigade. Mr. Kilgore started his civil service career in Vicenza as Plans Specialist in 2003. In 2004 he was promoted to the position of Force Protection Program Manager and held the position for 4 years. In 2008 he was promoted to the position of Chief of Plans and Operations for the Directorate of Planning, Training, Mobilization and Security of United States Army Garrison Vicenza, and he became the Director of USAG-V, DPTMS in 2009. Mr. Kilgore deployed to Iraq in 2011 where he served as Deputy Mayor Installation Manager of a DoD installation, with the mission of providing support to Iraqi Naval and Marine forces under the purview of OSC-I. Mr. Kilgore served as the Deputy Garrison Manager of Camp Darby, Italy (Livorno). After this assignment he was selected as the Deputy Garrison Commander for Shindand and Bagram Airbases in Afghanistan. Upon redeployment Mr. Kilgore was selected for his current duty assignment as the Deputy Garrison Manager for USAG-Miami.
