X509 PKI Certificate
Users issued Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) soft certificates, National Security System (NSS) hard tokens, Common Access Card (CAC) hard tokens, External Certification Authority (ECA) hard tokens, or Personal Identity Verification (PIV) hard tokens
Disadvantaged Users
Your GEOAxIS Disadvantaged User Account (DUA) serves as a secondary Authentication method (e.g. for access on mobile devices without card readers) associated with your PKI credentials. You must undergo a one-time registration process to create and activate your DUA using a trusted PKI hard token credential. Trusted PKI hard token credentials include: CACs, NSS Tokens, and Non-Authoritative Attribute Source Cards (PIV, PIV-I, ECA Cards) registered with Gx. If you have never been issued a trusted PKI hard token credential, you cannot register a DUA.
To create your DUA, ensure your PKI hard token credential is inserted into your card reader and select the PKI Certificate option on this page. Once you've been authenticated, you will be prompted to create your DUA. Alternatively you can navigate to the DUA webpage (https://geoaxis.nga.mil/users/disadvantaged.xhtml) to create your DUA.
Following successful creation of your DUA, you can access web-based mission resources with your new DUA credentials. DUAs cannot be used to log in to NGA network resources (e.g. SBU/SECNet workstations).
NOTE:If you have been issued a CAC/NSS Token, but currently have a token hold on your account, you can still register a DUA. To do this, authenticate via the Disadvantaged User option with the username/password associated with your SBU/SECNet workstation credentials
If you need technical assistance with your DUA (e.g. you forgot your password or your account is expired), please contact the GEOAxIS Operations Support Team at 508-622-5549 (Commercial) or 576-1717 (Secure).
NOTE: DUAs are NOT the same as NGA network (e.g. SECNet/SBUNet desktop login) usernames/passwords, which are managed by the ESC.
Austere Users
This provides an Authentication option (username and password) for users who do not have and will not be issued any PKI Certificate credentials, but have a temporary mission impacting need to access NGA protected resources.
If you do not have an Austere User account established, but believe you have a valid mission need, please contact the respective NGA Application you are attempting to access or the Enterprise Service Center (ESC) at 1-800-455-0899 (Commercial) or 578-5555 (Secure) for assistance contacting the NGA Application Program Office.

Disadvantaged User Registration
Your GEOAxIS Disadvantaged User Account (DUA) serves as a secondary Authentication method (e.g. for access on mobile devices without card readers) associated with your PKI credentials. You must undergo a one-time registration process to create and activate your DUA using your Common Access Card (CAC) / National Security Systems (NSS) Token. If you have never been issued a CAC/NSS Token, you cannot register a DUA.
To create your DUA, ensure your CAC/NSS Token is inserted into your card reader and select the PKI Certificate option on this page. Once you've been authenticated, you will be prompted to create your DUA.
Following successful creation of your DUA, you can access web-based mission resources with your new DUA credentials. DUAs cannot be used to log in to NGA network resources (e.g. SBU/SECNet workstations).
NOTE: If you have been issued a CAC/NSS Token, but currently have a token hold on your account, you can still register a DUA. To do this, authenticate via the Disadvantaged User option with the username/password associated with your SBU/SECNet workstation credentials.
Please fill out the Disadvantaged User registration form to register your DUA.
Your DUA will replace your legacy NGA DUA (e.g. username/password issued by the ESC). Following successful registration, you will no longer be able to access web-based mission resources using your legacy DUA. Instead you will be able to access web-based mission resources using your DUA (email address and associated password).
NOTE: Your DUA cannot be used to access NGA network resources (e.g. SBU or SEC desktops). The ESC maintains NGA network usernames/passwords.
