Infantryman Advance Leader Course

As the Army and our nation continue to evolve and change, our TASS Army National Guard Infantry program must also change to meet the challenges of today’s force structure. The Army National Guard, The United States Army Infantry School (USAIS), The Army School System (TASS) and the recently added Infantry Subject Matter Expert (SME), Camp Shelby, Mississippi, strive to provide every Soldier involved in the ARNG Infantry program with clear guidance of the execution of Infantry training. This course management plan (CMP) and the program of instruction (POI) is a continuing effort to provide a clear standard and clear guidance of ARNG Infantry training.

Medical Training Courses

A seven (7) day, table orientated course is conducted IAW the guidance provided in TC 8-800, Medical Education and Demonstration of Individual Competence (MEDIC). Graduates of this course will receive up to 48 hours of continuing educational units (CEU) and will also receive credit for the Annual Combat Medic Skills Validation Test (ACMS-VT), which is a requirement of the 68W MOS.  For more invformation go to 68W Sustainment Course (.pdf)

68W Soldiers provide emergency medical treatment, limited primary care, force health protection, invasive core skills, combat trauma assessment and evacuation in a variety of operational and clinical settings from point of injury or illness through the continuum of military health care. This course was developed to award the 68W MOS to Reserve Component Soldiers, who do not hold the 68W MOS. For more invformation go to 68W MOS-T Phase I (.pdf)

Small Arms Master Gunner Course

The Small Arms Master Gunner Course (SAMGC) provides an intense learning experience in small arms weapons proficiency, range operations skills, and instructional expertise. Training is focused on 13 Warrior Training Tasks to include qualification on the M16/M4 rifle, M9 pistol, M203 grenade launcher, M240B light machine gun, M249 SAW, MK19, and M2HB machine gun.

Squad Designated Marksman Course

The primary mission of the Squad Designated Marksman (SDM) is to deploy as a member of the rifle squad. The SDM is a vital member of his individual squad and not a squad sniper. He fires and maneuvers with this squad and performs all of the duties of the standard rifleman. The SDM has neither the equipment nor training to operate individually or in a small team to engage targets at extended ranges with precision fire.

The secondary mission of the SDM is to engage key targets from 100 to 550 meters with effective, well-aimed fires using the standard weapon system and standard ammunition. He may or may not be equipped with an optic. Therefore the SDM must possess a thorough understanding and master of the fundamentals of rifle marksmanship as well as ballistics, elevation and windage hold-off, sight manipulation, and range estimation.

Combatives (Hand-To-Hand Combat)

Students of the Modern Army Combatives course will be expected to return to their unit with this knowledge to assist his/her commander in developing a sustainable Combatives Training Program. This is a very fast paced and physically demanding course. At the completion of this course you will receive a completion certificate.
