EDINBURGH, Ind. – As we approach the summer months ahead here at Atterbury-Muscatatuck, increased training activity can be expected. Residents may hear explosions, small arms fire and see increased air and ground traffic, during this time which could extend into the evening and night. The training being conducted is a necessary part of training and operations to maintain unit readiness for future military operations and keeping our service men and women ready when called to action.

In addition the Air Guard will conduct bombing and strafing training in both the morning and evening hours throughout this period. This is routine training for the Air Guard and it is unlikely to have an impact upon the surrounding communities, although some planes might be visible.

We are committed to building positive relationships with the communities surrounding our installations. The point of contact for any questions or concerns is Capt. Jessica Cates at (812) 526-1499 ext. 61386., after hours at (317) 519-7263. For more information, visit https://www.atterburymuscatatuck.in.ng.mil/.
