Fort Devens

We are funded by Army Reserve, operate under the Army Installation Management Command (IMCOM) Northeast Region, and are a subordinate installation of Fort Dix missioned to support all military services, both reserve and active.  We support local, state, and other federal agencies when possible on a reimbursable basis.


Location

Fort Devens is conveniently located approximately 40 miles West of Boston off Route 2 and only 7 miles from I-495. 

Mission

As the major Army Reserve presence in New England, Fort Devens provides operational, training and logistic resources to tenant, transient training
and stationed units and area customers; provides standardized, effective and efficient services, facilities, infrastructure and quality of life to
Soldiers, Family Members, Retirees and Civilian Employees as applicable to support the training, readiness and operational capability for all
components and branches of the joint force, accomplished through responsible execution of funds and effective conservation of natural resources. On
order, provides Defense Support to Civil Authorities, as directed.
