Mr. Charles E. McCallar, Jr.

Born and raised in Savannah, Georgia. Lived in Charleston S.C. for a short time in the late 70's and returned to Savannah.

Mr. McCallar (known to everyone as Chuck) started working as a Civil Servant (GS-11) Programmer Analyst in 1986 for the Directorate of Information Management (DOIM), U.S. Army Information Systems Command (USAISC). Mr. McCallar accumulated 3 yrs of Mathematics, Computer Science and Anthropology credit from Armstrong & Savannah State colleges.

He has been working in Computing, Automation and I.T since 1977 in one capacity or another. He served 4 years with Georgia State Government Information and Computer Services from 1982-1986 and also served a previous part-time role at Fort Stewart assisting a software developer in 1985. Mr. McCallar has been a Federal supervisor since 1989. In his words, he has been "privileged to serve" various I.T. roles as DOIM (NEC) Branch and Division Chief positions. He has accumulated more than 25 Commander and Unit Coins (presented for Service and support) over the last 27 years of service. Mr. McCallar belongs to various professional organizations to include: The Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association (AFCEA), The Army Signal Regimental Association (ASR), Institute for Electrical & Electronic Engineers (IEEE) and has participated in technical affiliations in the past such as: I.T. Professional Association, Coastal Beta Exchange and INFRAGARD.

He has several different CompTia and Microsoft Certifications and has completed the Army Civilian Education System (CES) Intermediate & Advanced Courses. He proudly serves the Fort Stewart & HAAF NEC, 93rd Signal Brigade and 7th Signal Command as a NETCOM GS-2210-14 Technical Manager supervising Customer Management, Desktop Support and Server Management Branches."
