Command Sergeant Major James Coroy Biography

CSM James C. Coroy is a native of Gonzales, Louisiana. He entered the Army in July 1985 and attended Infantry One Station Unit Training (OSUT) at Ft. Benning Georgia. Throughout his career, CSM Coroy has served in a variety of enlisted positions including Mortar Gunner, Section Leader, Team Leader, Squad Leader, JRTC Combat Trainer, Drill Sergeant, Platoon Sergeant, Assistant Operations Sergeant, First Sergeant, Operations Sergeant Major, and Battalion and Brigade Command Sergeant Major culminating in his selection to serve as the Command Sergeant Major for the Brigade Modernization Command (BMC), Fort Bliss, TX.

He has served during seven combat deployments; all of which were in leadership or primary staff positions at the Battalion level during Operations "Just Cause", "Desert Shield/Storm", Operation Enduring Freedom I, IX and XI and Operation Iraqi Freedom I and IV.
