Our client, a large financial services company is seeking a Senior Deposit Products & Pricing Analyst for a fantastic direct hire role in their Cleveland office.

JOB SUMMARY

The Senior Deposit Products & Pricing Analyst works under limited supervision performing product and pricing analytics, and competitive assessments to drive the development of new product and pricing tools, and to inform the enhancement of existing products and processes. In conjunction with senior management, line of business directors, and functional managers, develops, implements, and recalibrates retail deposit management strategies for the optimization of the retail deposit portfolio. Collaborates with managers and senior analysts across business areas in providing various deposit forecasts in support of retail deposit gathering, ALM and DFAST processes.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Works with senior management, line of business directors and functional managers in developing, implementing and recalibrating retail deposit management strategies in optimally managing the retail deposit portfolio.
  • Performs product and pricing analytics and thorough competitive assessment to drive the development and implementation of new products and pricing tools and inform the enhancement of existing products and processes.
  • Interprets and reports on product and pricing analytical findings and business insights and makes recommendations.
  • Analyzes product usages, behaviors, customer segments, and profitability to identify product gaps and opportunities for product enhancement and new development.
  • Develops targeting strategies and tactics across customer segments for enhanced account acquisition, product cross-selling and revenue generation.
  • Acquires in-depth understanding about critical deposit behaviors, such as Certificate of Deposit (CD) maturity and cross-product balance flow, and the drivers of such behaviors to inform ongoing retail consumer deposit management.
  • Collaborates with managers and senior analysts across business areas in providing various deposit forecasts in support of retail deposit gathering, Asset Liability Management (ALM) and Dodd-Frank Act Stress Testing (DFAST) processes.
  • Monitor product performance (including penetration and profitability), usage patterns, behavioral shifts and revenue generation to manage emerging trends and further refine product and channel offerings including pricing positions for the optimal results of the product portfolio.
  • Works with marketing and communications team to support assigned product and service promotional strategies including product positioning, key benefits, target customer messaging and campaigns.
  • Ensures the accuracy of key product collateral such as product brochures, merchandising, sales presentations and sales aides.
  • Works with Marketing, Compliance and Systems Solutions to ensure regulatory compliance on retail deposit products and pricing.
  • Performs special projects, and additional duties and responsibilities as required.
  • Where applicable and when performing the responsibilities of the job, employees are accountable to maintain Sarbanes-Oxley compliance and adhere to internal control policies and procedures.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Statistics or a related field.
  • Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of seven years of direct experience in retail customer deposit management in a large financial services organization.
  • Minimum of five years of direct experience in analyzing and developing retail deposit products and pricing in a large financial services organization.
  • Experience with direct banking product and pricing management preferred.
  • Demonstrated expertise and experience in the development of new consumer deposit products and pricing positions.
  • Thorough knowledge about bank deposit products, services, and applicable regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Good understanding of banking systems, channels, markets and customers.
  • Direct experience in applying analytics to innovatively developing new products and pricing recommendations.
  • Solid business acumen in retail banking and customer-centric strategic marketing.
  • Proven background in understanding and leveraging market intelligence with respect to interest rate environment, competitive pricing and rate sensitivities in optimizing product and pricing management.
  • Good understanding and experience with data warehouse, data marts, databases, analytic and reporting tools such as SAS, SQL and Cognos.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in effective communication and presentation to senior management.
  • Computer literate with advanced proficiency in internet navigation, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio applications.
  • Analytical, innovative, detail oriented and results driven.
  • Works well in a team and fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to navigate through complexities to develop innovative solutions.
