Applying for Academic Degree Training

The following information is provided as a quick reference for individuals applying for Academic Degree Training (ADT) opportunities, as well as those responsible for ADT administration and processing. This information must be used in conjunction with applicable regulations/directives governing training. The Assistant Secretary of the Army, Manpower and Reserve Affairs (ASA M&RA) is the sole approving authority of Academic Degree Training, regardless of funding source (Memorandum, Headquarters, Department of the Army (HQDA) G-3/5/7, 17 Sep 09, subject: Academic Degree Training).

The FCR or Command POC will forward complete packets at least 60 days before class start date for written approval of the degree program THROUGH the Deputy Chief of Staff, G-37, Training Directorate, Civilian Training and Leader Development Division (G-37/TRV), FOR Assistant Secretary of the Army, Manpower and Reserve Affairs (ASA M&RA), 111 Army Pentagon, Room 2E469, Washington, DC 20310-0111.
