** *Role:*Certified Medical Coder *Assignment:*Transcend, a wholly owned subsidiary of Humana *Location:*Fayetteville, AR *While this can be a work at home role, the candidate must be located in the Fayetteville area and be able to travel to provider offices in the area 3-4 days a week. ** *We help doctors do what they do best while engaging patients in their care* At Transcend we recognize the need to simplify population health management for the people who provide health care. We support physicians and care teams, provider groups and integrated delivery systems with practical onsite services and solutions that help practices shift from a health care system built on treatment transactions to a value-based model built on better outcomes for patients more engaged as partners in their own care. ** ** *Assignment Capsule* At Transcend Population Health Management LLC, a Humana Inc. wholly owned subsidiary, we deliver population health care and financial risk management, clinical-integration technology, and physician engagement services to health care providers through a captive Independent Physician Association model. Transcend leaders and market teams work onsite at physician practices to provide operational and medical management infrastructure support, patient outreach and medical records management. We also offer customized, intuitive technology that makes the administrative side of value-based care easier for physicians and their teams. Transcend is seeking a Certified Medical Coder to: * Review medical record information to identify all appropriate coding based on CMS HCC categories. * Complete appropriate paperwork/documentation/system entry regarding claim/encounter information. * Provide support, education and training related to, quality of documentation, level of service and diagnosis coding consistent with established coding guidelines and standards. * Provide real time support and coordination with Primary Care Providers and Care Coordinators for MRA coding, HEDIS and STARS. * Coordinate with clinical leadership in the development of provider training plans and for active support in the training process. * Organize and schedule periodic training as indicated from chart review results, and/or as requested by medical leadership or CBO management. * Monitor Coding changes to ensure that most current information is available. * Provides coding support to CBO as requested. * Other duties as may be assigned. *Key Competencies:* * *_Builds Trust:_*Consistently models and inspires high levels of integrity, lives up to commitments, and takes responsibility for the impact of one's actions. * *_Pursues Excellence:_*Seeks out learning, strives to develop and expand personally, and continuously helps others upgrade their capability to contribute to Humana. * *_Executes for Results:_*Effectively leverages resources to create exceptional outcomes, embraces change, and constructively resolves barriers and constraints. * *_Collaborates:_*Engages others by gathering multiple views and being open to diverse perspectives, focusing on a shared purpose that puts Humana's overall success first *Role Essentials* * CPC, CRC or CCS-P Coding Certification * CPC-A with coding experience * 18 months of medical coding experience * Strong organization and process management skills * Strong collaboration and relationship building skills * Training and presentation experience * Excellent written verbal and written communication skills * Proficient with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel * Ability to drive to provider offices and be in the field approximately 75% *Role Desirables* * Prior experience in a fast paced insurance, health care, or physician office setting * HCC coding experience * Medicare knowledge * Associate or Bachelor’s degree * Knowledge of Humana’s internal policies, procedures and systems. *Additional Information* Humana is an organization with careers that change lives—including yours.
