Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act

SECTION 508 COMPLIANCE INFORMATION

POM is committed to providing access to all individuals—with or without disabilities—seeking information on our website. To provide this information, we've built our site to comply with Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act (as amended). Section 508 requires that all individuals with disabilities (whether federal employees or members of the general public) have access to and use of information and data, comparable to that provided to individuals without disabilities, unless an undue burden would be imposed on us.

In 1998, Congress amended the Rehabilitation Act and strengthened provisions covering access to information in the Federal sector for people with disabilities. The law applies to all Federal agencies when they develop, procure, maintain, or use electronic and information technology. Federal agencies must ensure that this technology is accessible to employees and the public.

Section 508 Accessibility Initiative

In compliance with Section 508, Installation Management Command (IMCOM) is dedicated to making all of our web pages accessible to all of our visitors. If you use assistive technology (such as a screen reader, eye tracking device, voice recognition software, etc.) and have difficulty accessing information on our site, please contact the webmaster and provide the URL (web address) of the material you tried to access, the problem you experienced, and your contact information. We'll contact you and attempt to provide the information you're seeking.
