Atterbury-Muscatatuck is designated as an Army National Guard Joint Maneuver Training Center designed to provide individual to brigade-level training, advanced urban operations training, as well as a scalable Mobilization Force Generation Installation capability for soldier or civilian readiness processing. Our mission is managed by Garrison operations Command and Staff, supported by the Installation Support Unit, Indiana National Guard. We also serve as a mobilization and training site for multi-service components of the Department of Defense under the command of the First U.S. Army Division East.

Our installation hosts a Mission Training Complex, designed to provide Army Mission Command Systems training, as well as training, analysis and feedback during the Train—Ready Years of the ARFORGEN in preparation for full spectrum operations. The MTC provides a premier Joint-Interagency-Intergovernmental-Multinational training environment to Army National Guard units throughout the Midwest Region.
