CAMP ATTERBURY, Ind. – The 157th Infantry Brigade, First Army Division East stationed at Camp Atterbury received a new commander during a change of command ceremony here Sept. 12.

INDIANAPOLIS – Approximately 100 Indiana National Guard soldiers with the 38th Infantry Division’s combat aviation brigade are set to deploy to the Balkans in support of Kosovo Force.

INDIANAPOLIS – Indiana’s Adjutant General, Maj. Gen. Courtney P. Carr, is pleased to announce the selection of Col. Kenneth E. Ring Jr. as the leader of the Indiana National Guard’s U.S. property and fiscal office effective Sept. 15.

An American flag of epic proportions formed the backdrop of the ceremony in which soldiers of the 38th Infantry Division bid adieu to home, families and friends.  

Fort Wayne Air National Guard Base, Ind. – The 122nd Fighter Wing, which flies the A-10 “Warthog” airframe, has deployed eight A-10 Thunderbolt IIs and approximately 140 Airmen in support of Operation Atlantic Resolve for a month-long combined training event, overseas, to Sliač Air Base, Slovakia.

WASHINGTON -- Secretary of Defense Ash Carter today announced that transgender individuals will now be able to openly serve in the U.S. armed forces. 

Indianapolis – Governor Mike Pence today announced the formation of the Indiana Executive Council on Cybersecurity (Cybersecurity Council), a comprehensive public-private partnership charged with enhancing Indiana’s ability to prevent, respond to and recover from all types of cybersecurity issues, including attacks. The Cybersecurity Council, established by Executive Order, will include expertise from public and private partners.
