DOD UC APL

IMPORTANT NOTE
Effective October 01, 2010 The Army implemented the Department of Defense (DOD) Unified Capabilities (UC) Approved Products List (APL) which is established in accordance with DODI 8100.04 and the UC Requirements (UCR 2013, Errata 1) document. Its purpose is to maintain a single consolidated list of products that have completed Interoperability (IO) and Information Assurance (IA) certification. Use of the DOD UC APL allows Army and DOD Components to purchase and operate UC systems over all DOD network infrastructures.
Army/Department of Defense Unified Capabilities Approved Products List Acquisitions
The CHESS contracts designated for DOD UC APL item acquisitions are under the Information Technology Enterprise Solutions-3 Hardware (ITES-3H) Program. The DOD UC APL items should be acquired by soliciting proposals from the ITES-3H contractors. These contractors are:
IBM
Registered users may obtain quotes for these products through the RFQ process on CHESS it-emart: The acquisition of IA APL products will be IAW competition requirements and the 'Related Items CLIN' (0010) of the basic ITES-3H contracts. The Army HQDA CIO/G-6 Cyber Directorate is responsible for identifying the appropriate approved IA or IA enabled products and provide guidance to Army customers. The DOD UC APL is the only listing of equipment by DOD to be fielded in the Defense Information System Network (DISN). DOD components are required to fulfill their system needs by only purchasing APL listed products, providing one of the listed products meets their needs. This means the DOD UC APL must be consulted prior to purchasing a system or product. If no listed product meets the organization's needs, they may sponsor a product for testing that does meet their needs, provided that the product has an existing category and test requirements. For questions regarding the UC APL please contact the Unified Capabilities Certification Office (UCCO) at: disa.meade.ns.list.unified-capabilities-certification-office@mail.mil For Cyber Tools Management questions please contact: usarmy.pentagon.hqda-cio-g-6.mbx.cyber-ia-tools@mail.mil.
