Description Congress has authorized the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to provide technical, planning, and design assistance to non-Federal interests for watershed management, restoration, and development of projects. The study includes portions of the Illinois River Watershed located near Springfield & Decatur, Illinois. This reconnaissance-level study will determine the extent of the water quality, sedimentation, and agricultural impacts to the water supply for these two urban areas. The study will evaluate the overall degradation of the portion of the watershed in the vicinity of Decatur and Springfield, Illinois.
