The American Citizen Services section of the American Consulate General in Florence, Italy serves all American citizen residents in the Republic of San Marino, as well as the surrounding area, including the Italian regions of Tuscany and Emilia-Romagna (with the exception of Parma and Piacenza, serviced by the American Consulate General in Milan).

The consulate offers a wide range of services that include replacement / renewal of passports, notary services, emergency assistance, and voter registration.

The consulate is open to the public Monday through Friday morning from 9 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The consulate is closed on weekends, as well as on American and Italian holidays. Between the hours of 2 p.m. and 4 p.m., consular assistance and service is available over the phone at 055/266-951. In serious emergencies outside these hours (eg. matters of life and death), citizens should contact the American Embassy in Rome at 06/4674-1.
