Mission
SFL-TAP ensures all Soldiers who leave the Army with more than 180 days of active duty comply with legal and regulatory
requirements of the Veterans Opportunity to Work (VOW) Act of 2011, to receive preseparation counseling and other required
transition assistance services and benefits as early as possible. These Congressionally mandated requirements must begin
no later than one year prior to separation or retirement.
