Red Cross Volunteer Program

There is an ongoing need for Red Cross Volunteers at Bassett Army Community Hospital. Volunteers must be at least 15 years of age, pass a background investigation and complete training requirements need for the position. Some of the volunteer positions available include Medical and Dental Clinic Administrative Assistant, Hospitality Cart Operator, Information and Services Specialist, Medical Professional, Medical and Dental Paraprofessional, Patient Administration Medical Records Technician, Pharmacy Aid and Craft Workers.

To further transparency and patient engagement, the Military Health System provides prescribed aggregate statistical information concerning patient safety, quality of care, patient satisfaction, and health outcomes for health care provided under the TRICARE program at military treatment facilities. Additionally, information about the quality of care at most civilian-sector facilities in the TRICARE network may be available through Hospital Compare, hosted by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services.
