Preparedness Empowers You

It saves lives, property, and time.

Emergencies happen, often with little or no notice. By taking action beforehand you can be prepared for any emergency.

Be Ready Navy!
I am. Are you?

Ready Navy Kids take the time to be informed about possible hazards or dangers in their area and the steps to take to prepare. There are many ways you can learn more about emergency preparedness!

  • Talk to your parents, guardians, or teachers. Ask how they can help you be prepared.
  • Take a look at the information Ready Navy has about natural hazards like earthquakes and winter storms, manmade hazards like home fires, and many other possible hazards found on the Be Informed pages.
  • Go to other kid-friendly websites for information:

Be Ready Navy—Be informed before, during, and after an incident; make a written family emergency plan; and build an emergency supply kit good for at least three days.
