The NCIS mission is to investigate and defeat criminal, terrorist, and foreign intelligence threats to the United States Navy and Marine Corps-ashore, afloat, and in cyberspace.
Internships 


Internships

College juniors, seniors, and graduate students who are interested in a criminal justice career can apply for an internship with NCIS.  The NCIS internship is an unpaid, hands-on opportunity, designed to provide education-related work assignments for students. 

The interns' background, experience and interests determine their assignment which can include work in the following departments:

  • criminal investigations
  • information systems
  • government relations and public affairs
  • computer crimes
  • strategic planning
  • personnel services and operations
  • criminal intelligence
  • forensic sciences
