The Fort Lee Veterinary Treatment Facility

The Fort Lee VTF is not an emergency clinic; therefore, all emergencies will be referred Off-Post. Clients are encouraged to have a relationship with a civilian veterinary clinic (you can pick-up a listing copy of the civilian clinics throughout the local area to choose) Pets Lost on Post: Please call 804-652-5979 – Fort Lee Stray Facility – Building 11027 on 38th Street.

Services offered by the Fort Lee VTF include:

  • Partial in house laboratory for bloodwork and urinalysis
  • Ultrasound Capabilities
  • Dental Assessment and Prophylaxis
  • Fecal testing for intestinal parasites
  • Testing for Heartworm, Ehrlichia, Lyme disease and Anaplasmosis
  • Annual Vaccinations
  • Soft tissue Fine Needle Aspiration & Biopsy
  • Micro-chipping
  • Health Certificates (Domestic and International)
  • Digital Radiographic Imaging – allows us to view the images immediately and copies your pet’s radiographs to CD in case it needs to be referred to another facility.
  • On-line access to your pet’s medical records with a valid United States Uniformed Services Identification Card
  • Puppy and Kitten Vaccinations
  • Annual wellness exams, re-Check, vaccinations, and screening tests for internal parasites, heartworm disease, and tick-borne diseases.
  • Sick call appointments to include diagnostic blood tests
  • Cremation Service through a contract Funeral Home.

Clients and their pets are at the clinic 15 minutes prior to their appointment time to verify information and check vaccination and annual test records; clients late for their appointments may be rescheduled at the discretion of the clinic.
