How to Download/Print Certificates

All online courses delivered by the DAU Virtual Campus will generate an official certificate of completion once all course requirements, to include the end-of-course (EOC) survey, have been completed. Once these requirements have been met, you may simply “Exit” your course and choose the refresh icon that appears above the Gradebook column of your “Enrolled Courses” list; this will force your course to drop down to the “Completed Courses” list at the bottom of the page and allow you to select the certificate icon.

NOTE: If the page appears to refresh or does nothing when selecting the certificate icon, please hold down the “CTRL” key while selecting the icon.

Why Certificates are Not Available for Certain Classroom Courses
Classroom courses completed prior to October 1, 2008 will not appear in your “Completed Courses” list in the DAU Virtual Campus. This is because, prior to FY09, all certificates were physically issued to students in the classroom and records were maintained on a separate system that does not generate electronic certificates. If you need to obtain records for any classroom courses completed prior to FY09, you may download/print your Unofficial Transcript .

DAU Transcripts (Official/Unofficial)
Our transcripts show only DAU course work (training and continuous learning, as well as equivalencies and fulfillments) successfully completed, not courses you haven taken from other schools, continuous learning activities, or unsuccessful completions. By accessing the DAU Transcript System , you can review/print your unofficial certificate at your desk, request that an official transcript with a raised DoD seal be sent to a college.

NOTE: The DAU transcript website is currently ONLY accessible to users with a DOD-issued CAC. If you do not have a DOD-issued CAC, you may send an email to the DAU Scheduling and Student Support Team at Scheduling@dau.mil to request an Official or Unofficial Transcript. These requests are being manually processed in the order in which they are received. The turnaround time for the transcript request is 2 to 3 weeks. Please plan accordingly.

Please note the following:

  • Sometimes students access their training history through the DAU Virtual Campus. The training history from this source shows only Distance Learning (DL) courses and Continuous Learning (CL) training completed within our learning management system; this source does not display your entire DAU training history.
  • Completed DAU modules will appear in a DAU CL-specific transcript that you can access by going to the DAU Transcript Program. Only modules offered through DAU’s Continuous Learning Center will be recorded on DAU transcripts.
  • Although typically sooner, course completions (graduations) are posted within 5 business days of the course end date. To see if a recent graduation is on your transcript, select the “View Unofficial Transcript” option after accessing the DAU Transcript System .
  • Equivalencies and fulfillments will only be captured on the DAU transcript if your component has entered the data into the Army Training Requirements and Resources System (ATRRS). Please Click Here for more information.

If you have questions or experience difficulty submitting a transcript request online, please call, Phone: 703-805-3459, DSN: 655-3459, or Toll Free: 1-866-568-6924. Please choose Option #1 for Course Support and listen for the option to discuss “Transcripts.” You may also send an e-mail to dauhelp@dau.mil.

Why Certain Courses May Not Appear on Your DAU Transcript
There are certain courses that are hosted through the DAU Virtual Campus that belong to external schools or agencies. These “hosted” modules (i.e. AQN, FAC, FCN) will not display on your DAU Transcript, but will still generate a certificate of completion available for download in the DAU Virtual Campus.
