Objectives
|
You will learn the basic concepts, techniques, and procedures of DCAA contract auditing. Upon completion of this course, you will be able to: (1) Identify the different auditing environments and apply decisive reasoning to the audit process; (2) Understand Agency performance expectations, probationary period evaluation criteria and DCAA career opportunities; (3) Discuss the nature of conflict and demonstrate effective communication skills when dealing with difficult individuals in the audit environment; (4) Describe the Government procurement process and the types of audit services provided by DCAA; (5) Understand the authoritative audit guidance that is found within FAR, DFAR, and GAGAS; (6) Understand Government cost accounting systems and the importance of preaward accounting system audits; (7) Correctly document and apply relevant risk assessment procedures, prepare an audit program and develop working papers through the use of an incurred cost audit case study.
