ATRRS FAQ

RENEWING PASSWORD

From the ATRRS Portals logon screen (or from inside ATRRS Portals if you are logged on), click the Renew Password link located on the menu at the top of the page. On the next page type in all required entries, entering your current password in the ATRRS Password input area. Choose a NEW password which meets all of the required criteria listed on the page. Once you successfully complete this process, your new password will be in effect immediately.

ATRRS LOGON ID AND PASSWORD

Click on the Do I Need an ATRRS Logon ID link under the How To Get Online header on the ATRRS homepage. Click on the Obtain a Logon ID tab, scroll down the page and click on the link to access the ATRRS SAAR wizard which will step you through the process of generating the required application forms.

REINSTATE ATRRS LOGON ID

ATRRS logon IDs are deleted if they are unused for 365 days. If your Logon ID has been deleted, you must follow the Get an ATRRS Logon ID instructions to reapply.

PASSWORD EXPIRATION

You are provided with a message beginning 21 calendar days prior to your 60-day password expiration date. The message appears as soon as you log onto ATRRS. If you only log on to ATRRS intermittently, or less than once a week, it is highly recommended that you set your own reminder to renew your password before the end of the 60 day period.

PASSWORD RENEWAL

ATRRS passwords are valid for 60 calendar days.

PASSWORD VIOLATIONS

If you attempt to log on to ATRRS and enter the wrong password three times in a twenty-four hour period, your LOGON ID is suspended for password violations. When this happens, you must contact the Access Management office at (703) 693-3625, or DSN 223-3625 to have the lock on your account lifted.

LOGON INSTRUCTIONS

Yes. The email packet that you received when you originally obtained your ATRRS Logon ID has a document attached with complete instructions on how to log on to ATRRS.

PASSWORD EXPIRATION

Provided you remember your expired password, go to ATRRS PORTALS and click the Renew Password link located on the menu at the top of the page. On the next page type in all required entries, entering your expired password in the ATRRS Password input area. Choose a NEW password which meets all of the required criteria listed on the page. Once you successfully complete this process, your new password will be in effect immediately.

(You will only need to request a temporary, one-time use password through the ATRRS Logon Assistance Center if you have forgotten your expired password. If you request a temporary password you must wait 3 business hours before it will be activated. Once the mandatory wait time has passed, follow the password renewal process described above, using the activated temporary password in the ATRRS Password input area.)

ACCESS CODE

The initial Access Code for a new ATRRS account is the word REVIEW. It allows you to review ATRRS screens, but does not allow you to modify any data.

TEMPORARY PASSWORD ISSUE

You are required to wait three business hours after generating a temporary password before it will work. The password has to be processed by the Access Management Office at the Pentagon. If your password does not work after this mandatory wait period, call the Access Management Office at (703) 693-3625, or DSN 223-3625, and ask them to activate your password.

LOGON ISSUE DURING DEPLOYMENT

If you are not going to be using your ATRRS Logon ID while you are deployed, send an email to the ATRRS Help Desk (ahelp@asmr.com) and ask that your Logon ID be placed in a deployed status. This ensures that your Logon ID will not be deleted for the duration of your deployment. Email the Help Desk upon your return to request that the deployed status be removed from your Logon ID.

ATRRS LOGON ID NEEDED

Please see the answers to this question provided by clicking the Do I Need An ATRRS Logon ID link under the HOW TO GET ONLINE header on the ATRRS Homepage. If you still have questions about whether you need access to ATRRS, call the ATRRS Help Desk at (703) 695-2353 /2060, and explain your situation. They will be able to further guide you.

APPLICATION & RESERVATION SUBMISSION

A soldier may update their address in ATRRS through AKO. To do so, log on to AKO and click SELF SERVICE, followed by My Education. At the bottom of the next window under the Transcripts section, select the ATRRS Online icon.

The ATRRS Student Center window displays. Choose the Review Your ATRRS Profile option on the left hand side of the screen. Input you address and click Update to save the information.

CORRECTING RS DISPLAY

ATRRS is not the official system of record for personnel information. Incorrect personnel information will not affect an individual's eligibility for training. Each ATRRS record reflects personnel information current at the time the reservation is made in ATRRS. However, if an SSN is incorrect in ATRRS, we are happy to assist you in correcting the SSN.

Send an email to: ahelp@asmr.com, and be sure to include the soldier's name, the incorrect SSN, and the individual's AKO ID. If two individuals' records have been merged, an outline of which training belongs to each AKO ID is also required. DO NOT SEND VALID SSN's TO THE HELP DESK VIA EMAIL.

ATRRS REPORTS GENERATOR ACCESS

To receive a step by step instruction document on how to generate and download reports using the QWS3270 Secure Software, contact the ATRRS Help Desk via email at: ahelp@asmr.com, or by phone at: (703) 695-2353 / 2060.

To register for DAU courses, go to one of the following registration sites:

If you are Army personnel or a Civilian working for the Department of the Army, go to: https://www.atrrs.army.mil/channels/aitas. Keep in mind that your DAU courses must first be approved on your Individual Development Plan (IDP), which can be viewed at: https://rda.altess.army.mil/camp/index.cfm.

If you are Air Force, go to: https://www.atrrs.army.mil/channels/acqnow.

If you are Navy, go to: https://www.atrrs.army.mil/channels/navyedacm.

If you are a DOD Civilian, go to: https://www.atrrs.army.mil/channels/acqtas.

All other personnel not listed, please go to: https://www.atrrs.army.mil/channels/nondod.

PERMISSION PROBLEM

Your ability to access and change data in ATRRS is dependent on your Access Code, which is set by an Access Code Manager. This person is usually located in your unit. If you do not know who this individual is, contact the ATRRS Help Desk at: ahelp@asmr.com, or: 703-695-2353/2060, to determine the appropriate point of contact.

ATRRS COURSE LOCATION

ATRRS does not administer courses. If you have questions about how to access your courseware, speak with the school that is administering the course. Use the Course Catalog to find the school’s point of contact.

DMOSQ ERROR

The DTY-POSN-QUAL (Duty Position Qualifier) is in TAPDB-G (which is fed by SIDPERS) to ensure that the individual is slotted appropriately. We receive a weekly update from TAPDB-G (normally on Fridays) with this data. The student also must not be within one year of ETS (End of Time in Service) or TRY1 Enlistment. If the Soldier is not Duty MOS Qualified (DMOSQ), they can only attend DMOSQ types of courses that are related to becoming DMOSQ. ATRRS Select Codes are used to determine DMOSQ training courses. The select codes are E4, E6, EC, RG, EJ, E5, EK, DL, EM, and OB. The A1 and A2 Functions verify enlisted pay grade before checking for the DMOSQ logic. The RL and RP Functions use the logic if the first character of the pay grade is an E and the Reservation Status is not a cancel. IET quota sources NJ, NK, NL, NM, NN, and NP are exempt. Exceptions to this policy can only be made by contacting one of the following individuals:

Primary: Mike Booher (RDA1B): michael.booher@us.army.mil
Secondary: Harry Gilman (SPT19): harry.gilman@us.army.mil
Secondary: Mike Prusinowski (RAW3T) : michael.prusinowski@us.army.mil
Secondary: Jim Morehouse (SPJ5I): jim.morehouse@us.army.mil

These individuals in turn coordinate with the ATRRS Help Desk to have the flag removed.

SCHOOL IDENTIFICATION

Use the LS function, which can be found in ATRRS Portals under the School Management Portal.

ATRRS CODES LIST

Codes used in ATRRS are listed in the Verification Tables on the VRL display in ATRRS Portals. Additionally, clicking on the field names and column headers on Portals screens produces a pop-up window titled ATRRS Data Element Description.

If a Verification Table is available for that data element, a link is provided. Click on that link to see all of the relevant codes and the corresponding definitions without leaving the display that you are currently viewing. For example, if you are looking for a list of Reason Codes (RC) on the RS display, click on the RC column header. A definition is provided, along with the list of Reason Codes found in Verification Table 09.

CORRESPONDENCE COURSE SIGNUP

If you are a Uniformed member or a Civilian employee of the Coast Guard or Homeland Security, Non-DoD Federal Government Civilian employee (which includes Uniformed members of HHS & Commerce), or an industry Civilian (using the Non-DoD website): Visit the NONDOD website for information regarding application approvals. When you get to the window, select Contact Info on the left hand side. This link brings you to a window that identifies each organization POC.

If you are an Air Force Airman or Civilian (using the ACQNOW website): Visit the ACQNOW website for information regarding application approvals. When you get to the window, log on. On the left hand side, click Training Manager Lookup. This link brings you to a window that prompts you for your organization. Select your organization to find your POC.

If you are a Navy Sailor or Civilian (using the eDACM website): Visit the eDACM website for information regarding application approvals.
