Is ACAT IV still a valid category? (1 answer)

It still shows in Acquipedia but it is not in the latest DoDI 5000.02, Operation of the Defense Acquisition System. In fact, the DoDI specifically mentions ACAT I through III only. ACAT IV used to be for Navy and Marine uuse only.

ACAT IV is still a category used by the Navy and Marines. It's defined in SECNAV Instruction 5000.02E, 1.4.5. One current example of an ACAT IV(M)is the Networking On-The-Move (NOTM) program.
