Fair Notice Requirements (Section 803 of National Defense Authorization Act 2002 Public Law 107-107)

- States that "fair notice" must be given to as many vendors as possible when deciding to make a purchase. Market research prior to notice will determine if there are vendors who can supply the required service. "Fair notice" includes a description of the work to be performed and the basis on which the award will be made.
