General Information

This website is the official World Wide Web site of Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center, and is provided as a public service. The Darnall website was prepared by the CRDAMC webmaster in conjunction with the Darnall Public Affairs Office, the Information Management Division, and web liaisons from each of the departments. Our goal is to create a user-friendly site that contains easily accessed information that is accurate, timely and helpful. User comments are both appreciated and encouraged.

This website has no classified or operational material published on it. All material is viewed for security and sensitivity before it is published/updated and periodically checked for compliance.

Information presented on this site is considered public information and may be distributed or copied. Use of appropriate byline/photo/image credits is requested.

Unauthorized attempts to upload or change information on this service are strictly prohibited and may be punishable under the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act of 1986 and the National Information Infrastructure Protection Act.

Other than Security monitoring (see below), data is gathered about use of this site, including page hits and navigation paths through the site; however, this data is not correlated to any unique information about the user (name, IP address, or other uniquely identifying characteristics). In other words, to understand in general how users are using the site, we record the pages you visit, but we do not record any information that would identify who you are.

This government computer system uses software programs to create summary statistics, which are used for such purposes as assessing what information is of most and least interest, determining technical design specifications, and identifying system performance or problem areas.

For site security purposes and to ensure that this service remains available to all users, this government computer system employs software programs to monitor network traffic to identify unauthorized attempts to upload or change information, or otherwise cause damage.

Except for authorized law enforcement investigations, no other attempts are made to identify individual users or their usage habits. Raw data logs are used for no other purposes and are scheduled for regular destruction in accordance with National Archives and Records Administration Guidelines General Schedule 20. All data collection activities are in strict accordance with DOD Directive 5240.1.
