Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center has outpatient pharmacies located in the hospital, on Fort Hood and in the local communities. Pharmacy services include the filling and refilling of prescription medications that are in the CRDAMC formulary.

All Prescription Drop–Off Instructions
Availability:
Monday – Saturday: 9 a.m. – 6 p.m.
- If your prescription is dropped off before Noon (12 p.m.)
- Pick-up Same Day: After 4 p.m.
- If your prescription is dropped off ater Noon (12 p.m.)

Instructions / Example
- Completely fill out the drop–off envelope.
- For paper prescriptions and electronic prescriptions – ensure required information is on the prescription including the number of prescriptions and place in envelope.
- Place envelope in drop–off box.
Bring the patient's ID when you return to pick up the prescription.
Medications must be picked up within 7 days if dropping off.

There is a small number of medicines that may be especially harmful and, in some cases, fatal with just one dose if they are used by someome other than the person fo rwhom the medicine was prescribed. This list from FDA tells you what expired, unwanted, or unused medicines you should flush down the sick or toilet to help prevent danger to people and pets in the home. MedSafe is a Convenient Option to Dispose of Expired or Unwanted Medications
The MedSafe is located at the Main Hospital pharmacy, Thomas Moore pharmacy, and Clear Creek pharmacy lobbies. Look for the blue medication disposal container to safely dispose of expired medications. This service is available any time the respective pharmacies are open.
Filling Your Prescriptions
Prescriptions are dispensed from Darnall pharmacy facilities without charge to military ID card holders (soldiers, family members, retirees and their family members).
Handwritten and Electronic Prescriptions
All handwritten and electronic prescriptions are filled at the Clear Creek Pharmacy located at the PX.
Self Care Medication Program
OTC Medications can be obtained with a Self-Care card, or for Active Duty in uniform. List of medications available. (.pdf file format)
