Mission

CAPE, the proponent for the Army Profession, the Army Ethic, and Character Development, strengthens America's Army as a military profession that inspires trusted Army professionals to honorably fulfill their oaths of service.

Key Tasks

• Support Army-wide efforts (Army Campaign Plan, TRADOC Plan, NIMS, AWFCs and Human Dimension Strategy).
• Create and integrate Army Profession, Army Ethic, and Character Development doctrine into training, professional military education, the civilian education system, and operations.
• Assess the state of the Army Profession.
