Battlefield Injury Mechanisms

Human Response to Threats

Research is focused on gaining a fundamental understanding and insight into how mechanisms of injuries and degraded human behavior manifest themselves in the grounds forces threat environment. Research interests include understanding how the human brain is damaged in blast and impact events; and uncovering underlying physical damage mechanisms and linking them to biological mechanisms and neurological behavior.

Human Protective Equipment

Research is dedicated to understanding mechanisms of threat human interaction and establishing equipment to provide protection against non-primary threats (natural environmental conditions, noise) while non-inhibiting mission function or provided additional capability for protection against primary threats.
