Is all research by WRAIR carried out at Building 503 at Forest Glen?
A: Much of the research is conducted at the Forest Glen Annex but critical studies must be carried out in WRAIR’s overseas laboratories (link) in Germany for access to deploying Soldiers, and in sub-Saharan Africa and southeast Asia for endemic diseases.
Is there a process to receive funding for extramural research or to submit proposals for collaborative research?
A: See the USAMRMC website for the Broad Area Announcement. Additionally, for collaborative research with WRAIR, see information on cooperative research and development agreements, commercial test agreements, sponsored research and more.
