Directorates & Divisions - An organizational listing of NRL research groups and support services.

Nanoscience Institute - Research teams in different Laboratory directorates and divisions work together to investigate key areas of science. Currently, the most visible multidisciplinary effort at the Laboratory is the Institute for Nanoscience.

Laboratory for Autonomous Systems Research - NRL has a long history of research and many significant contributions in unmanned and autonomous systems dating back to the mid 1920s. In March of 2012, NRL opened the Laboratory for Autonomous Systems Research. This 50,000-square-foot facility capitalizes on the broad multidisciplinary character of NRL, bringing together scientists and engineers from diverse backgrounds to tackle common challenges in autonomy research at the intersection of their respective fields.

Future Naval Capabilities - The FNCs process partners the S&T communities with process to requirements and acquisition communities to deliver and transition priority Naval capabilities to the fleet.

NRL Research Library - Digital sender scans library materials and sends them as pdf documents.The Library supports research effort by providing professional library/information services to the Washington, DC campus and by implementing networked systems to facilitate access to information by NRL employees nationwide.
