"Team Meade" and the community
"Team Meade," the Nation’s Preeminent Center for Information, Intelligence and Cyber operations, is conveniently located between two major cities, Baltimore and Washington D.C., and approximately 11 minutes from the Baltimore/Washington International Airport. Fort George G. Meade is a hub for the joint services, Air Force, Army, Coast Guard, Marines and Navy with tenant organizations, such as, the DoD’s Defense Information School, the Defense Media Activity, The National Security Agency, and Defense Information Systems Agency, as well as the non-DoD Environmental Protection Agency.
Partnership
This region has great potential for building mutually beneficial partnerships, initiatives, programs and events that connect the Fort Meade Community to the military community at Fort Meade. In response to overwhelming offers of community support the Fort Meade Community Covenant Council was formed to facilitate those relationships.
The Fort Meade Community Covenant Council, which is comprised of businesses, community members and government organizations, serves Fort Meade’s service members, veterans, civilians and their family members by addressing community requests, needs, issues and concerns.
