Conducting an Employee Respiratory Protection Evaluation Process: The process by which an employee is medically cleared to wear a respirator


Description

This process shows an employer how to perform a Respiratory Protection Program that is in compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and Department of Defense (DoD) regulations and standards.  This process demonstrates how to medically clear an employee to wear a respirator. The employer shall provide the respirators which are applicable and suitable for the purpose intended. The employer is responsible for the establishment and maintenance of a Respiratory Protection Program that covers each employee who is required to a use a respirator.
