Where to begin

Review your Position Description (PD) and note:

  • Which Career Field you are assigned
  • What level of certification is required

If you have any questions discuss with your supervisor.

What are my Certification Requirements?

For the most current requirements, go to the iCatalog and select your career field.

AWF members have a 24-month grace period from time of assignment to become certified at the level required in their primary career field. If you do not meet the certification requirement within 24 months, your command must request a position waiver. The waiver must include a plan for meeting the requirement and cannot exceed 24 months from the date of request.

Once you have met the mandatory education, experience & training requirements log onto eDACM to request certification.

Register for Training

Sign up for courses early via eDACM

Many required courses can be taken online, any time, any place.
If your required course has prerequisites, they have to be taken first.
If you register for a course and do not meet the prerequisites, your application will be disapproved.
To review already completed acquisition training log onto eDACM and click on "My DAWIA Transcript." If training doesn't appear on your transcript contact the eDACM Support Staff for guidance and assistance. Be prepared to provide transcripts and/or proof of completed training.

Getting Certified

Civilian acquisition workforce members apply online at eDACM. Select Manage Career > Certification.

Acquisition Workforce Tuition Assistance Program (AWTAP)

Civilian acquisition workforce members interested in earning a degree can learn more about AWTAP by visiting eDACM. After logging in with CAC Card, select >Manage Career> Tuition Assistance> Guidance and Documents.
